8 款 VPN 獲 Google 安全認證 滿足 MASA 私隱 + 加密審查要求
Google 早前推出「流動程式安全評估」計畫，通過審查的 VPN 程式將會在 Google Play 頁面授予徽章證明。而首批獲得安全認證的 VPN App 共有 8 款，其中包括 NordVPN、ExpressVPN、Google One 等。Google表示，應用程式必須滿足某些要求才能通過 MASA 的審查，其中涉及資料儲存和私隱、加密、身份驗證、網路、權限和編碼等領域。
目前首批獲 MASA 認證，並已應用在 Google Play 商店上的 VPN 程式包括 Aloha Browser + Private VPN、ExpressVPN、Google One、NordVPN、Private Internet Access VPN、SkyVPN、Tomato VPN 及 vpnify。
用戶可以在 App 的資訊欄位上確認該程式是否擁有盾牌圖形的「獨立安全性審查」徽章，但該徽章只有一年的期限，必須再度提交資料作審查才能持續顯示。
Google 表示，公司早於 2019 年與資訊安全公司合作組成「App Defense Alliance」（應用程式防護聯盟），且於 2022 年推出 Mobile App Security Assessment（MASA）。
